Posteggiamo l'auto nei pressi dell'area pic-nic Pian di Stella, è agosto e il clima
fresco ha attirato molti avventori, tanti da far fatica a trovare un posto libero! Nei
giorni precedenti all'escursione ci siamo preparati un po' sulla storia di Napoleone,
o per lo meno quanto basta da poter intrattenere Carolina. Seguiamo il sentiero (o
itinerario) giallo, ben indicato! Raggiungiamo in brevissimo tempo un quadrivio,
incrocio di altri sentieri, diretti o verso Pratorotondo, Apicella oppure verso Stella
Santa Giustina.
Il nostro itinerario segue invece la segnaletica dell'Alta Via dei Monti Liguri (AV)
che transita proprio sulla sella della Crocetta, senza presentare alcun tipo di
difficoltà. Il sentiero attraversa un faggeto per poi passare su ampi spazi erbosi.
Con una piccola deviazione sulla destra, il GPS ci indica la Cabanna du Squarzin, un
antico riparo utilizzato dai soldati napoleonici.
Aggiriamo sulla sinistra il Bric Veciri dove, poco oltre, perdiamo i segnali dell'Alta
Via. Giunti ad un ennesimo bivio, prendiamo una deviazione sulla destra, fino a
raggiungere una colla erbosa.
Il tracciato prosegue sempre verso destra e saliamo in breve alla croce del Monte
Ermetta (mt.1267). In questo punto le pietre ammucchiate indicano l'antico sito di
una piccola ridotta militare. Il panorama, splendido, ci permette di osservare le
Alpi e uno scorcio della Riviera di Ponente.
Torniamo sull'Alta Via dei Monti Liguri riprendendola verso destra; una volta
passati a fianco di una croce di legno lasciamo alla nostra destra il sentiero che
scende a Veirera-Palo-Sassello (quadrato giallo).
Arriviamo quasi ai piedi di Rocche Parlati lasciando definitivamente l'Alta Via dei
Monti Liguri.
Per orientarci, con una simpatica app scoperta da poco, vediamo tutte le alture
che ci circondano (l'app tramite la fotocamera ci permette di leggere "live" i nomi
dei monti circostanti) facendo emergere davanti a noi la Rocca Becciavè.
Affrontiamo quindi alcuni saliscendi, i primi degni di nota rilevati dalla partenza,
per continuare il resto dell'itinerario raccordandoci all'itinerario rosso e
proseguendo diritto, fiancheggiando il corso del torrente Sansobbia.
Attraversiamo così tutti i prati di Pian di Stella dove Carolina azzarda una corsa
liberatoria attorno a grandi alberi, rincorrendo le ombre di alcuni cagnolini
euforici.
Appagati dal giro, ci fermiamo per un carinissimo pic-nic al sole, cullati dalla brezza
fresca che ad agosto, in Liguria, possiamo trovare solo superati i 1200 mt!

We return to the High Way of the Ligurian Mountains, taking it to the right; once past a wooden cross
